Kopenhagen Konsulting partnered with a global pharmaceutical company to design and implement a DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) capability. The project aimed to combat the rising threat of BEC (Business Email Compromise) scams and other domain security issues. With no existing DMARC solution, our goal was to create, implement, and establish ongoing management capabilities for future operations.
To meet this goal, we conducted a thorough analysis of the company's domain structure and ownership, crucial for effective DMARC implementation. Our team also handled vendor research and contract negotiations to secure necessary resources. We ensured that the DMARC capability was properly integrated into the company's operations.
Thanks to our efforts, the global pharmaceutical company successfully established a robust DMARC capability, enhancing security across people, processes, and technology. The implementation addressed the growing threat of BEC scams and domain vulnerabilities. Additionally, we helped set up a DMARC service management function and developed a roadmap for the capability's future growth.
