We were brought on by a global pharmaceutical company to aid in their Zero Trust journey. A crucial part of this was implementing a new multi-factor authentication (MFA) system to replace their outdated setup. The new MFA needed to boost security and user experience, fit seamlessly into their global tech landscape, and be suitable for all employees, regardless of their network segment or device type. Our goal was to design a fresh, comprehensive solution for worldwide implementation.
We collaborated with both internal and external stakeholders to design this new solution. Our process started with a gap analysis comparing current capabilities with desired ones, focusing on availability, user experience, ease of implementation, and compatibility with existing infrastructure. This analysis led to a business case for insourcing the new MFA. The legacy system, managed by a service vendor, caused delays. We produced a detailed white paper recommending the best solution, covering design, processes, and operational aspects for management to make an informed decision.
